- IFAPA's Online Discussion Group for Parents - Did you know IFAPA has an online discussion group for parents? A listserv is an online discussion group which will allow parents the opportunity to discuss issues, ask questions, share resources and connect with families with common interests. Sign up today and start taking advantage of this free resource from IFAPA!
- Training Credit for Books & Movies - DHS has released a new list of books and movies that have been approved for foster parent training credit. Check out the new items approved for credit.
- IFAPA Adds New Class to Spring Schedule - IFAPA has added a new class titled: "Sibling Groups...Conquer or be Conquered - That is the Question!" to our spring training schedule. The class will be offered in Fort Dodge on April 14 from 1-4pm.
- February and March Trainings - IFAPA is offering 22 trainings during the months of February and March. There's something for everyone!
- Need Social Worker CEUs? - Many of IFAPA spring trainings have been approved for social worker CEUs. See what classes are approved and at minimal cost to you!
- Valentines Day is Right Around the Corner - Did you know Valentines Day is the registration deadline for the IFAPA Conference? Valentines Day is also the deadline for conference attendees to receive a discount on hotel rooms at the Adventureland Resort in Altoona.

Iowa’s foster, adoptive and kinship families are improving the child welfare and child protective system by advocating for positive change. - Foster Home Insurance Fund - DHS is authorized by law to administer the Foster Home Insurance Fund which covers licensed foster parents and pays on behalf of each licensed foster home for any valid and approved claim for damages arising from the foster care relationship and the provision of foster care services.

- CPR & First Aid Training - This fall, IFAPA will be offering CPR & First Aid classes in Ames, Ankeny, Atlantic, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Dubuque, Mason City and Sioux City. Space is limited and classes are only $25 a person.
- School Issues & Severe Behaviors - Do you have a child that struggles in school? Do you parent children with severe behaviors? Do you want to care for children with HIV?
