“Parenting a Child with ADHD” Course Description

This comprehensive training focuses on Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, including the definition of, symptoms, causes, and helpful strategies to utilize when parenting a child with this disorder. This training will teach strategies to help with communication, organization, problem-solving, assertiveness, anger-management, behavior management, and school related issues.

Trainer: Warren Phillips, PhD

Warren is a licensed psychologist with Central Iowa Psychological Services in Ames and West Des Moines, Iowa, who specializes in children, adolescents, and adults who have attention-deficit disorder, learning disabilities, behavior problems, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and adjustment difficulties due to abuse, bereavement and divorce. He conducts psychological evaluations with children, teens, and adults to identify various personality issues, learning disabilities, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
