Current Training Schedule

Foster, adoptive and kinship parents are welcome to attend any of our trainings. Even if you adopted internationally or domestically, all Iowa adoptive parents are welcome to attend. All of our trainings are approved for foster parent credit. There is no cost to attend our trainings. Please note: Children are NOT allowed at IFAPA trainings and child care is not provided. Participants will be asked to leave if children are present. Children and infants are too distracting for training participants.

Parents

Foster, adoptive and kinship parents can sign up for a class* by completing our TRAINING REGISTRATION FORM . You will then receive a confirmation approximately 1 week prior to the training date.

Social Workers

Some classes have also been approved for Social Worker CEUs.

Social workers can register for a class by mailing in our CEU REGISTRATION FORM with their payment, or they can pay online with a credit card. Social Worker CEUs are per person and cost $15 for a 3 hour class and $30 for a 6 hour class.

Others

If you are not a foster, adoptive or kinship parent, you may still register for an IFAPA training (i.e. daycare providers, CASA workers, other human service professionals, etc.); however, there is a charge per person to attend an IFAPA training. IFAPA trainings are $15 for a 3 hour class and $30 for a 6 hour class. IFAPA trainings are only authorized for foster parent training credit. If you would like this class approved for your specific training needs (i.e. for child care) it is your responsibility to get it approved for credit. REGISTER FOR A CLASS & PAY ONLINE
